Regina Miracle Sponsors the Run for Survival 2017 Charity Run Organised by Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong For the Second Consecutive Year

(Hong Kong, 27 February 2017) Regina Miracle International (Holdings) Limited (“Regina Miracle” or the “Group”), a leading global intimate wear innovative design manufacturer (“IDM”), has been attaching great importance to and demonstrated support for ecological conservation. This year the Group acts as the principal sponsor of the Run for Survival charity run organised by Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong (“OPCFHK”). This marks the second consecutive year subsequent to acting as a major sponsor in 2016, with the purpose to raise public awareness on ecological conservation through its support of this charity event. The Group was pleased to see the successful completion of the Run for Survival 2017 in Hong Kong Science Park yesterday, which has also attracted the attention from the general public with 1,600 participants.

This year, the third Run for Survival continues the momentum of previous years and gains widespread support from society. It attracted numerous corporate teams and individuals to join the race. As the principal sponsor this year, more than 100 staff of Regina Miracle formed a strong team to experience the genuine significance of this charity event through active participation. In addition, Jacky Chen, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Regina Miracle; Wong Kam Sing, JP, Secretary for the Environment, Environment Bureau; Lai Chuen Chi, Patrick, Assistant Director (Country & Marine Parks) of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department; Judy Chen, JP, Chairperson of OPCFHK; and Lau Ming-wai, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Ocean Park Corporation were the officiating guests at the event’s award ceremony. After the race was completed, Mr. Chen presented the prizes to the champion of Corporate Team 10km Champion Cup on behalf of the Group, in recognition of their outstanding performance as well as their contributions to the conservation of ecosystems.

Organised by OPCFHK, the Run for Survival is distinctive from ordinary charity races. With the setting of steeplechase, it allows the public to experience and understand the importance of ecological conservation through this innovation. Besides, all participants are divided into “Marine Animal” or “Conservationist” categories. During the race, they are hunted by “Ocean Killers” and also need to overcome different obstacles such as debris and pollutants in order to experience the threats of the ocean and the duties of marine conservationists. Apart from fundraising, the Run for Survival also aimed to promote the importance of marine wildlife conservation and spur the public to address the serious issues of ocean debris, overfishing and pollution. In addition to the charity run this year, OPCFHK also partnered with a local organization which focuses on promoting environmental protection, “MAMASMART”, and held an informative “Upcycling Workshop” which features multiple interesting games and handcrafted workshops to address green issues, so participants and their families and friends could recognize the importance of green education while sharing the fun together.

Mr. Y.Y. Hung, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of Regina Miracle, said, “After we acted as the major sponsor last year, Regina Miracle boosted its support for the Run for Survival charity run organised by OPCFHK and become its principal sponsor this year, with an aim to contribute on marine conservation continuously. Regina Miracle has always been concerning about related topics of environmental protection and we hope to raise the public
awareness of marine and general wildlife conservation through our support for Run for Survival. The race is particularly meaningful as it educates more people of the importance of ecological conservation in an innovative and interesting way so that everyone can easily experience the fun. Besides, it inspires the public to be more environmentally friendly in their daily lives and contribute to the protection of the diverse ecological environment in Hong Kong.”

More than 100 staffs from Regina Miracle spared no effort to aid charity and showed their support to ecological conservation with action through their participation.
