Regina Miracle Receives InnoESG iRecycle Award 2022
Commitment to Promoting Environmental Sustainability Gains Recognition
(Hong Kong, 8 August 2022) — Regina Miracle International (Holdings) Limited (“Regina Miracle” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, collectively the “Group”) (HKEX: 2199), a leading global intimate wear company boasting an innovative design manufacturer (“IDM”) business model, has been presented the InnoESG iRecycle Award 2022 in recognition of the Group’s contribution to sustainable development of the community through recycling.
Mr. Chen Zhiping, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of Environmental, Social and Governance Committee of Regina Miracle, said, “While we acknowledge that environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) are significant to the Group’s long-term development, we are committed to creating value for the environment and society in our pursuit of being a world-class enterprise. Consistently embracing sustainability, the Group has been implementing an array of measures to manage its production and operation activities in an effort to contribute to the harmonious development of the society, economy and ecological environment. We are honoured and excited to receive this award, which recognizes the Group’s extensive effort in environmental care. Regina Miracle will continue to be committed to promoting environmental and social sustainability, creating long-term value for all stakeholders and assuming its social responsibility in an accountable manner.”
The Group has established four targets for 2030 based on the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. In terms of waste management, it strives to maintain zero landfill. The Group adopts the principle of “reduce, reuse and recycle” in waste disposal. Last year, the Group’s Vietnam factories achieved a zero landfill rate for 100% of their production waste, with over 50% of the waste collected by recyclers. The Group also actively promotes the development and application of various types of environmentally friendly materials. It developed a total of approximately 251 eco-friendly materials last year, and the recycled environmentally friendly fabrics procured by the Group have all obtained the corresponding Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification. In addition, the industrial wastewater generated from the Group’s production and craftsmanship process is treated by wastewater treatment facilities to meet relevant standards and then part of it will be recycled, thus reducing its impact on the environment.
The InnoESG Awards series is jointly organized by the SocietyNext Foundation, UNESCO Hong Kong Association Global Peace Centre, GBA Carbon Neutrality Association, Rotarian Action Group for Peace D3450 and SN iRecycle Chapter.
